Enter to win The Tragically Hip’s Day For Night reissue (out September 27 on Universal) on limited edition silver vinyl.
This September marked the 25th anniversary of the legendary Canadian band’s famed album, Day For Night, and they are celebrating with two reissues of the record.
One version will see the album pressed on two silver-coloured LPs, while a second version arriving on black wax will be given the half-speed mastering treatment at Abbey Road Studios by Miles Showell.
The latter vinyl version, which also features alternate artwork, marks the first release by a Canadian band in the label's series of Abbey Road half-speed mastered releases.
Originally released on September 24, 1994, Day for Night marked the Tragically Hip’s fourth album together and their first number one album. Recorded at Kingsway Studio in New Orleans and Le Cave de Dave in Kingston, Ontario, the album was produced by Mark Howard, Mark Vreeken and the band themselves. It is a huge moment in their history as well as Canadian music’s history eventually becoming certified seven times platinum in Canada.
