Production of 'The Great British Bake Off' Has Been Postponed
With all of the chaos and worry in the world right now, we're long overdue to fawn over delightfully crumbly cookies or perfectly flakey pastries, but unfortunately we won't get to have those things any time soon. Yes, the coronavirus pandemic has now resulted in a delay of production for the Great British Bake Off.

Production on Season 11 of the hit series was set to begin next month, but Deadline has confirmed that it has ultimately been delayed over health concerns for all involved.

Love Productions, the company responsible for the show, confirmed that they're holding off on entering the tent. "We continue to monitor the situation and follow the advice of Public Health England and we will delay filming on Bake Off until it is safe to proceed," a spokeswoman said.

The show is normally filmed between April and July, then premiered on the final Tuesday in August. It's unclear if a production delay will affect the final release of the series.

When it does return, Season 11 of the Great British Bake Off will be the first since presenter Sandi Toksvig quit earlier this year.
