Published May 30, 2012Long-running California punks Strung Out haven't delivered an album's worth of new material since 2009's Agents of the Underground, and it looks as if the outfit won't be banging out any upcoming cuts on their retro-minded "Twisted in a Suburban Wasteland" summer tour either.
As fans may notice by the trip's title, Strung Out will celebrate both 1996's Suburban Wasteland Blues and 1998's Twisted By Design by playing the albums back to back each night of the month-long trek. Over half of the dates take place in Canada, running from Vancouver to Quebec City. You can check the details down below.
While the tour casts a backwards glance at Strung Out's career, it looks as if the band will get back to writing material once the trip wraps up.
"It feels right to do one last retrospective before we head into the making of another album. I think people will really enjoy these older songs played back to back," singer Jason Cruz said in a statement.
In other words, Strung Out fans should bring out their dead (by which we mean their tattered band tees and extra, extra large Dickies board shorts) and get ready to relive some of the classic Fat Wreck Chords act's greatest hits.
