Published May 13, 2016Welsh psych-rockers Super Furry Animals made their return to the stage last year, supporting the 15th anniversary of Mwng with a reissue and live shows. Now, the group are staying in the spotlight by offering up some brand new material.
A new track titled "Bing Bong" marks the band's first new offering since 2009, and it hears the group showcasing their native tongue in the form of a "communal disco anthem."
The song arrives in anticipation and support of the UEFA Euro 2016 tournament, though the group note that the song should brighten up the lives of non-football fans, as well.
"'Bing Bong' isn't a song of victory or defeat, but a beacon of faith to return to when your best centre-forward gets sent off, or it rains at your festival," they explained in a statement. "Keep it in a safe place for a time when you will need it."
Before you encounter any bad refereeing or inclement weather, though, give it an inaugural spin by watching the vibrant new video for "Bing Bong" in the player below. Just scroll past the band's upcoming North American tour dates to give it a watch.
