Published Dec 28, 2012Despite the acclaim Brooklyn indie rock outfit the Walkmen garnered over their 2002 debut Everyone Who Pretended to Like Me Is Gone, their 2004 follow-up Bows + Arrows brought the band to bigger audiences, partly thanks to their career-defining single "The Rat." The vinyl version of the album has long been out of print, but fans will be able to get their mitts on a limited repress early next year.
While the album was originally issued by Record Collection, an Insound listing states that Warner Bros. will release a vinyl repressing on January 22. Insound will have an exclusive, limited-edition version of the reissue on 125-gram red wax. At this point, though, it's unclear if other retailers will have a standard black version.
Keep your fingers crossed that the band will have the record at their merch table this winter on their tour with Father John Misty. You can peep the show schedule, including stops in Toronto and Vancouver, over here.
