HBO's Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds Documentary Will Screen at TIFF Bell Lightbox
Published Jan 05, 2017At the tail end of 2016, Hollywood took another major blow with the loss of beloved mother-daughter duo Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher. As previously reported, HBO will explore their close relationship with a new documentary called Bright Lights. If you live in Toronto, you'll also have an opportunity to watch the film in the cinema.
TIFF is planning a special screening of the film to take place at the TIFF Bell Lightbox on January 7 at 7:45 p.m. — the same night the film hits HBO.
The screening will be hosted by TIFF director of film programmes Jesse Wente, who has an encyclopedic knowledge of Star Wars. After the screening, Wente will be joined by The Social's Lainey Lui for a discussion. There will also be a reception after the film.
